James Gibbons seved with the 156th Battalion and died near Arnhem, he landed on Ginkel Heath as part of 4th Para. On his body a note was found that his last wishes were that he be buried in conscreated ground. James Gibbons was buried at the R.C.Cemetery at Renkum and is the only Parachute Man in this Cemetery. His grave has been cared for by a local woman called Mrs. Peelen for 35 years. | |
