Jose Maria Irala was born in Spain and fought against Franco and the Germans during the civil war along with his brother and father. He went to the U.K to serve there in WWII so he could continue his fight against the Germans. Jose or now called \\'Joe\\' was first assigned to a Tank unit but he wanted more action and kill as many Germans as possible and signed up with the Reconnaisance Squadron. His former burial spot was in the grounds of St. Elisabeth Hospital. He either died there during the fighting or died of his wounds in the Hospital.
