Capt. Binyon was reporting missing in the Sonneberg area after attacking a German tank. However other statements report that he went to the Driel Ferry area and was present at the 'Lonsdale Speech' Also reported is that he and Pvt. Kelly went away together. Pvt. Kelly's grave was found in the Ter Horst Garden. In 1985 two bodies were found near the old church. One was identified as Alfred Edward Johnson. The other was an Officer of the Royal Engineers aprox. 30 years of age. Identification by dental records was not possible but this could well have been Capt. Binyon.
