Horsa 'Chalk Number 5003' carried six troops of RAF 6341 Light Warning Unit. Caught in a flak barrage some 8 kilometers south of the intended Landing Zone, the glider was hit and crashed 1 km south of the railway station of Opheusden, along the road to Dodewaard. Flight Lieutenant Tisshaw died in this glider crash.
