Stirling EF-298 was hit by Flak and crashed in a wooded area about 16.00 hrs. The fieldgrave of Pilot Officer Baker on the photo below (right cross). Beside him the fieldgrave of Flight Engineer Bond. Flying Officer Baker Enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in Winnipeg, Canada on 18 December 1941. He was trained at: No. 7 ITS graduating on 5 June 1941 No. 20 EFTS graduating on 11 September 1942 No. 5 SFTS graduating on 5 February 1943 Flying Officer Baker postumously was Mentioned in Dispatches on 14 June 1945, and was awarded the AFRO on 21 September 1945.
