At 1650 hours, 15 Typhoons of 124 Wing / 181 Squadron took off from B.58 Melsbroek airfield in Belgium to attack 'MET' (Military Enemy Transport)near coordinates E.5633 (a wood between the villages of Gemert and Veghel. 120 rocket projectiles were fired and 15 'MET' were destroyed. Typhoon JP800, Squadron code EL-'R', was hit by Flak and crashed at B.78 Eindhoven airfield returning from this sortie at about 18.35 hrs. Regrettably Flying Officer Pervin was killed in this crash.
